Thank you so much to our amazing volunteers who help LASC in our goal to ensure access to justice for vulnerable members of our community!
*IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PRO BONO CLE CREDIT FOR 2016***
LASC will be reporting all Pro Bono CLE hours to the Supreme Court of Ohio in early January, 2017. You will be eligible to receive one hour of general CLE for every six hours you volunteered at an LASC-sponsored clinic or handling a pro bono case referred by LASC. You will receive an email from Dianna Howie () in mid-December with the total pro bono hours LASC has on file for you. If you haven’t received one by December 15th, be sure to check your junk or clutter folders.
In order for you to receive CLE credit for your pro bono hours, you must do the following by December 31, 2016:
-Complete a case reporting form for all cases you have handled. Note that you will need to submit an interim report for any cases that are open at the end of 2016. You must also indicate how the time was used in order for LASC to verify your hours. Follow the link below to complete your report.
-Clinic Volunteers – Your hours have been tallied throughout the year, so you will only need to complete one Form 23.
-Submit your “Form 23.” To download a Form 23, click HERE. You can now submit your forms electronically, and they can be emailed to Dianna Howie at Please list “Form 23 – [your full name]” in the subject line.
In exchange for your service, we offer current volunteers access to all of our live Continuing Legal Education Programs. We also record all of our trainings and make them available after the fact. If you need access to this password-protected site, contact Dianna Howie.
We will be offering a Wills CLE on Friday, April 1st. The training is free to PACO clinic volunteers and attorneys who commit to handle two Seniors Referral Project cases per year. Click HERE for more information.
