Wage Theft

ALERT to Unemployment Compensation Claimants

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services has changed how individuals can report weekly claims for unemployment compensation. If you are having trouble reporting your weekly claims, we may be able to help! Please call our intake line at 614-241-2001

ARE YOU A VICTIM OF WAGE THEFT?

Many low-wage and immigrant workers are paid less than the minimum wage, denied overtime pay, forced to work off the clock, subject to illegal deductions, misclassified as independent contractors, or not paid at all.

LASC is striving to settle wage theft disputes between employees and employers.  If you believe you are a victim of wage theft, contact LASC (see our “Get Help” tab above and select “Apply For Services”).  In cases where LASC is unable to assist you directly, every effort will be made to refer you to the appropriate agency, organization or private attorney for assistance with your claim for wages.

Stop wage theft
