Meda Brittman is a paralegal on the Housing team at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus (LASC). She started at LASC as a filing clerk in 1997. As a paralegal, she is the first line of contact for clients with subsidized housing issues. Meda interviews clients, conducts background research, and helps determine LASC’s ability to assist each client. She collaborates with various community organizations and maintains a strong working relationship with the code enforcement department, law enforcement agencies, mental health facilities and rental offices. Meda finds her job fulfilling because she spends each day attempting to help vulnerable individuals avoid homelessness.
