Bill Fraser

Professional Biography

Bill Fraser is the director of litigation for Ohio State Legal Services’ Field Programs. He works with both the Legal Aid Society of Columbus (LASC) and Southeastern Ohio Legal Services (SEOLS) by coaching, training, and assisting staff attorneys in their legal work. Before coming to LASC and SEOLS, Bill worked for three other legal aid organizations, including Pine Tree Legal Assistance in Maine, Advocates for Legal Equality in Toledo, and the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County in Florida. At those legal aid programs, Bill specialized in class action litigation of public benefits and civil rights issues affecting large numbers of low-income people. While his role does not involve direct client contact, he enjoys improving the work of staff who ultimately save and improve lives of vulnerable members of the community.

Bill is married and has two step-children who are both lawyers. He is a member of Brice United Methodist Church and enjoys gardening, astronomy, and his three dogs.
